Our history
SOGEPAR is the story of a group born 40 years ago, created by Hugues Giroud and his two brothers, Bruno and Claude. Faced with fierce international competition, Hugues Giroud decided to invest in the 1980s in chain hotels, a turn in the form of a success story.
SOGEPAR maintains its identity on the French hotel market and still retains its family values with Loïc Giroud at the helm. The group, which is both investors and operators, decides whether to manage branded hotels or not.
To better support its hotels and succeed in its development, the group has a head office nicknamed “Base Camp” which offers support to employees, thanks to business experts, who are always attentive. This name recalls these mountain places which provide assistance to mountaineers during the ascent of the highest peaks.
Today, the group has 26 hotels and nearly 2000 rooms .
The 300 SOGEPAR employees, spread across the whole France, ambassadors for the hotels and catering professions, form the large SOGEPAR family.
